About Brandon Hummons

Brandon Hummons, currently a student at Denison University, utilizes the world of creativity around him to rejuvenate the personal level of communication. He sees personal expression as a vital part of being alive. A past participant of Louder Than A Bomb, Brandon has experienced some of the most thrilling types of human interaction in existence. In the high school years, he debated in policy debate, as well as types of Lincoln Douglass debates. These debate experiences have allowed him to gain access to engaging, intellectual, and personal interactions with scholars from all around the nation.

Brandon has also been involved in politics for some time. Besides policy debate, he has partaken in activities organized by a group called Mikva Challenge, a youth political organization based in Chicago. Through Mikva Challenge, Brandon has done campaign work, voter registration, and media projects covering major political events including the Democratic National Convention and Obama’s Inauguration.

In the field of media communication, Brandon already has an impressive portfolio. In the summer of 2008, he participated in a project called Now Debate This. During his involvement, he produced a number of short films, songs, and documentaries. This project also pushed for his further production of media in the previous categories with such pieces as Consumerism and numerous poetry compilations.

Lastly, Brandon has an entrepreneurial mind and a business mind. He co-started and ran a small entertainment business in high school. Brandon has also worked for Rotary International in the Publications Department, Youth Service Project as an assistant media engineering instructor, Nye Partners- a downtown clinic, and as an election judge and debate judge.
